Description

A hearty and comforting dish made with ground beef or lamb, vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop onions, carrots, and garlic; set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add carrots and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in ground beef or lamb with Worcestershire sauce; cook until browned.
  4. Transfer meat mixture to the Crockpot; add peas and beef broth. Season with thyme and rosemary.
  5. Spread prepared mashed potatoes evenly over the mixture in the Crockpot.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until bubbly.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground meat with lentils or mushrooms.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
